Metropolitan Steel served as the structural steel erector for Project HEAT, a high-capacity industrial development located in Chicago’s Goose Island corridor.

The project features a footprint of more than 255,000 square feet for the primary industrial building, plus a 28,000+ square foot parking garage. Our team completed the full structural steel erection, coordinating steel sequencing and crane operations on a tight urban site with active utilities and high-traffic constraints. This job demanded efficiency, precise staging, and close collaboration with the general contractor and design team to meet the project’s fast-paced delivery schedule.
